Really had some fun with this guy. Got a lot of interest in a similar Skullboy character sketch I did, so I thought I would explore something similar. This time I gave him a fedora hat and a funky bike to ride. The new pens helped add variation in detail and line weight. I actually made a sketch of this one on a sheet of paper and then used vellum to trace over it with the sketch pens. The tracing technique gave me some room for error, if I didn’t like the inking then the original pencil sketch wouldn’t be lost.
